Ribaltamentor - The Art of Mixology

The Mentor Reversal is that moment when the roles are reversed, the students become Mentors themselves, teaching the whole staff something new. What do they share? Whatever they are passionate about or feel is of interest to the entire staff, whether it is a skill they have acquired along the way or something completely personal such as a passion.

Master40's first Ribaltamentor opened with a lesson dedicated to the art of mixology: a journey through tools, types of cocktails, and there was no shortage of history.

What did we learn?
Shaker
Used to quickly mix and chill ingredients. There are several types:

  • Boston Shaker: composed of two parts, usually a glass and a metal glass.
  • Cobbler Shaker: consists of three pieces, includes a built-in strainer.
  • Parisian Shaker: two metal parts, with an elegant design.

Jigger
Double-ended dispenser for accurately measuring liquids, ensuring balance in cocktails.

Bar Spoon
Long, thick spoon with a spiral handle, ideal for gently stirring and layering drinks.

Introducing us into this world was Marco Pignataro, a Master of Videogame student who before being here in BigRock worked as a bartender for about ten years, if you want to know more about Marco here is his story in brief.

Below are some photos of how it went.
