Second appointment of the Reversal of Mentor. This is an occasion where the roles within the school are reversed: students become Mentors for a day and choose a topic to teach staff members. The topic of the lesson can be the most varied, from a topic explored in depth in the classroom to a personal passion.
Following the success of theart of Mixology(link to article), Master40's second Ribaltamentor was dedicated to the discipline of Taekwondo: a martial art officially born in 1955 in South Korea.
It was an introductory, hands-on lesson in this educational and spiritual discipline. The Mentor for the day armed himself with the proper protection and taught the BigRock staff the basic technique, allowing them to practice with the different kicks:
- Frontals
- Rear
- Turn around
- Counterattacks
- Skipped
Passing on these notions was Brenno Moro, a UX & AI Design Master's student, currently a yellow belt in this beautiful discipline that he has been practicing for just over a year. His goal? Definitely to get to earn his black belt!
Below are some shots of how this experience went.
