Overview
Il Master in Computer Grafica è un corso intensivo per apprendere le varie fasi di realizzazione di un prodotto in animazione 3D o di effetti visivi per cinema e tv. Un percorso di sei mesi che unisce lezioni, esercizi e sfide per sviluppare competenze generaliste e raggiungere l’autonomia produttiva, con una predisposizione al lavoro di squadra.
In soli sei mesi svilupperai le competenze di base per cominciare il tuo viaggio professionale nel mondo dell’animazione e degli effetti visivi, ma anche nella pubblicità, design, fashion e prodotto.

We discover the magical world of Maya through challenging exercises that will guide us to mastery of the interface and tools. We will revolutionize final image creation with AI as our creative ally, opening the door to next-generation digital art.

RIGGING I
Imparerai a creare un sistema di controllo completo per il movimento di personaggi e props.
We will explore the Substance 3D suite with its unique material creation system that will allow us to better texturize our models. We will also examine how to integrate textures generated with the help of artificial intelligence.
ADVANCED Tier
UNREAL ENGINE
AffCi immergeremo in Unreal Engine, il cuore pulsante di videogiochi, cinema e produzioni virtuali. Sfrutteremo le nostre conoscenze di shading e lighting per ottenere risultati fotorealistici in tempo reale, aprendo le porte all’innovazione e all’arte digitale di nuova generazione.
ANIMAZIONE II
È il momento di imparare a dettagliare l’animazione e dare vita ad un character umanoide. Dai cicli di camminata all’acting vero e proprio.
RIGGING II
Scaviamo ancora più a fondo per scoprire gli infiniti modi per dettagliare un rig e dare ancora più controllo agli animatori.
Tier PRO
Assieme ad un digital sculptor PRO, apprenderai le migliori tecniche avanzate di sculpting digitale su ZBrush.
TEXTURING II
Assieme ad un texture artist PRO, affineremo le nostre abilità con Substance Painter per creare texture e materiali PBR. Sfrutteremo le potenzialità di Arnold per creare dei render fotorealistici, approcciando per la prima volta delle camere virtuali e imparando le fondamenta della fotografia, tra cui composizione e lighting.
Con l’aiuto di un compositor PRO, esploreremo argomenti come greenscreen, rotoscoping, tracking e integrazione di elementi CG. Inoltre, approfondiremo come velocizzare e migliorare la produzione, grazie all’ implementazione di tecnologie AI.
PROJECT X
Il Project X è un contest a squadre della durata di una settimana, in cui dovrai soddisfare il brief di un cliente vero esterno.
Un vero e proprio pressure test, creato per farti imparare sul campo come ottimizzare il tuo lavoro e a collaborare in squadra.

thesis
The last six weeks of the course are devoted to the thesis project.
A cross-master's job that involves all the students of the school in the creation of a short film and a video game.
Face together with your classmates a real production simulation: you will work on the front line on daily tasks, assigned according to your skills, under the supervision of your teachers.
The project will then be presented to the public on the last day of school and participate in festivals around the world.

Are there any specific requirements for taking the courses?
No. Except for the Master in Concept Art, all of our courses start from scratch.
The only requirement we ask to attend BigRock: lots of passion and commitment.
Zero means for us not knowing anything about Maya, 3D modeling or animation, compositing, Unity or programming. So that on the first day we can all start from the beginning.
And in six months we can assure you that you will know how to produce computer graphics, video games, music or concepts completely independently.
Do you know how to turn on a computer?
Perfect! You can start the courses!
Do you already know something? Have you already learned software as a self-taught?
Probably if you are choosing to take a course, it means you need to supplement your knowledge or you need to learn the correct methods of production. This is absolutely not a problem for us! Maybe in the first few days you will find yourself repeating concepts or tools you already know... but a review never hurts! Guaranteed that after a week or two everyone will be at the same level and ready to push the envelope with lessons!

Can I take classes and work at the same time?
In order to guarantee you an effective Master's degree, but more importantly out of respect for your teachers and fellow students, you will need to be present every day until 6:30 p.m. (even if the last few hours of the day there should be no teacher in the classroom).
This is why we usually discourage our students from pursuing both school and an evening job. We don't doubt that you can do it, but you certainly wouldn't enjoy the BigRock experience to the fullest of your strengths and abilities (and you wouldn't be able to leave early anyway).
Of course, this argument doesn't apply to weekends when school is closed. We only ask that you plan your schedule well--we are not open on Saturdays and Sundays specifically to rest up and leave loaded on Monday!
If, as is often the case, you have a freelance job, no one forbids you from doing whatever you want at home in the evenings. You are, however, ❗️proibito❗️ bring your computer to school to work on non-Master's projects or use school materials for outside work.

How are the master's classes structured?
Here's how a typical day at BigRock works!
9:30 a.m. - Class begins. Not a single second late is allowed!
Depending on the subject, lessons see alternating moments of explanation and exercises. During the explanation phase, the teacher shares his screen, showing the progress of the exercises to the students and explaining the production methodologies. Once the explanation is completed, students perform the exercise exactly as it was explained to them by the teacher.
11:30 a.m. - Coffee break, about half an hour long.
The alternation of explanation and exercises is resumed.
1:30 p.m. - Lunch break. Students can have packed lunches in the common areas or in the contracted facilities around the school.
2:30 p.m. - Classes begin again.
4:30 p.m. - Coffee break, about half an hour long.
5:00 p.m. - "Laboratory." In most cases, during the last part of the day, the teacher leaves the classroom, leaving students to work independently, often to finish an exercise or try alternative solutions to what has been explained. This is a very important phase for us, because we get students used to problem solving, that is, knowing how to work without the security of having the teacher ready to help. It is also a time of "relaxation" where the student can slow down the pace of work and possibly do the exercises in collaboration with classmates.
6:30 p.m. - Computers off. Everyone at home. There is no homework or exercises to bring finished for the next day. There is only to rest and recharge the batteries to start another busy day again.

The Master in Computer Graphics, being the longest running course we have, has a much broader scope than the other two, more recent ones. The Master's program in Computer Graphics goes side by side with a classic production line (in jargon Pipeline) of an animated film, because in this field it is definitely the most comprehensive course. This does not preclude you from applying the concepts you have learned in other areas. As of today, 3D is used extensively in advertising, photorealistic rendering, photography, architecture, object prototyping, design, and so many other fields.
If you still have no idea what specifically you would like to do when you grow up, but want to keep the door open to all fields, this is the course we recommend!

Starting from the 15th day after signing the contract, you will receive an email with the authorization code, at which point you can make an appointment at any Intesa San Paolo branch to complete all the paperwork.

What happens if I am denied the loan?
The chances of it not being granted are zero. The loan is denied only if you are already in a delinquent situation. In any case, when enrollment is tied to obtaining the loan, if the loan is not disbursed to you, your enrollment in the Master's program lapses.
Can I ask you for technical information about the loan?
Interest rates are not our forte
You can, however, contact one of Intesa San Paolo's branches before you enter the loan application, they will dispel any doubts you may have!
When will I have to start repaying the loan?
The bank will ask you to start repaying no sooner than a year after the end of the Master's program, so you will have some time to find a job
